What is Bomber Sports Camp?

Well, it’s exactly what it sounds like. It’s an all-day (9am – 2:30pm) camp at John Burroughs School filled with sports, sports, and more sports!

What is a typical day at Bomber Sports Camp for Girls?

The bulk of the day will be spent playing a variety of sports, such as field hockey, lacrosse, soccer, basketball, tennis, swimming (the girls will swim every day), dodge ball dance party (a camp favorite last year!) and much more.  Sprinkled in throughout the day will be snack breaks, lunch, team building games and oodles of laughter! The games will be “small-sided” games with teams generally made up of 6 to 8 players to ensure plenty of action for each camper.

The daily schedule will look similar to this:

9:00 – 9:15am:  Drop off / Team gathering and free play (coach guided games)

9:15 – 9:40am: ALL camp team building activity to kick off the day!

9:45 – 10:30am: GAME BLOCK #1

10:30 – 10:45am: Snack (provided)

10:45 – 11:30am: GAME BLOCK #2

11:30 – 12:00pm: Lunch (brought from home).

12:15 – 1:15pm: GAME BLOCK #3

1:15 – 2:15pm:  GAME BLOCK #4

2:15 – 2:30pm:  Whole Group Game, Camper Recognition and Pack-Up2:30pm: Carpool Pick-Up

What is a typical day at Bomber Sports Camp for Boys?

The bulk of the day will be spent playing a variety of sports, such as flag football, soccer, floor hockey, baseball. kickball,  basketball and more.  Sprinkled in throughout the day will be snack breaks and lunch.  As well, each camper will come inside for a 30 minute break from the heat and relax by watching a portion of an age-appropriate sports movie.

The games will be “small-sided” games with teams generally made up of 7-8 players per side to ensure plenty of action for each camper.

A typical daily schedule will look as follows:

9:00 – 9:30am:  Drop off / free play with counselors monitoring each game

9:30 – 10:00am:  Morning gathering / daily announcement and Team Trivia

10:00 – 10:35am:  GAME BLOCK 1

10:35 – 10:45am:  Snack Break

10:45am – 11:20am:  GAME BLOCK 2

11:20 – 11:55am:  GAME BLOCK 3

11:55 – 12:45pm:  Lunch (brought from home) and free play

12:45 – 1:15pm:  Movie in the Science Aud (air-conditioned)

1:15 – 1:45pm:  GAME BLOCK 4

1:45 – 2:15pm:  Big sided game

2:15pm:  Clean up, popsicles and head to carpool
